Social Work Internships in Ecuador – South America
Are you a social worker student looking for an international experience? Our social work internship in Ecuador provides the perfect opportunity to gain quality exposure and experience by working with professional to learn about the social work practices. Our social work internship is aimed to give you a well-rounded experience by allowing you to integrate into a community abroad. You will acquire skills to work with people of different ages, ethnicities, education levels, socioeconomic status.
As a student of social work you are committed to improve the lives of other individuals and communities. VIP-Ecuador works in collaboration with grass roots organizations and large international non-profit, typically focusing on under-served populations which are in need of social support.
Social work placements are available in: centers for at-risk children and youth, organizations for battered women, community medical centers, drug rehabilitations institutes, elderly people and children shelters, human rights foundations and centers for homeless people among others.
Duties vary depending on qualification, experience and needs of the centers. Interns can expect to work five days a week and make a meaningful difference in the center’s daily life. Basic Spanish as minimum is highly recommended.
